  1. So far so good 5 Star Review

Posted by on 13th Mar 2015

I just made my first bass bug using the blockhead popper body. It worked perfectly and made a fine looking bug. I'll follow up after I fish it.

I used a TMC 8089 hook, Tied a mono weed guard along the top of the shank and used Loctite Supergel to glue the body to the hook.

I had been using foam cylinders and cutting them to shape. They work well but I expect these to be better. Thanks for a good product.

I have use a variety of poppers and these are by far the best I have used. Very light, very durable and easy to tie!

  4. The Best Popper Ever? 5 Star Review

Posted by on 22nd Feb 2011

I've used hair, wood, hard plastic and these foam poppers. These are the lightest and push water just great. Most importantly the bass have voted, and they absolutely love to eat them.

The 10 degree front angle seems to be just right in pushing water and the flat face works very well. No real need for a cupped face in a popper design.

They are a breeze to tie with the center line hole situated perfectly for optimal balance and tracking.
